Former French Concession
The overall architectural style of the Former French Concession is neat and unified. It was the most luxury residential area in Shanghai during 1930s. The sycamore trees on the road were transplanted from France in early 20th century, so the sycamore tree was called “French Sycamore” in Shanghai.
