Description

Day 1  Beijing Arrival

Welcome to Beijing, the capital of China. Your tour guide will be waiting for you at the airport. When you meet your tour guide, he or she will accompany you to your hotel in Beijing. Your tour guide will give a brief introduction of China during the car ride to your hotel. You are welcome to ask your guide any questions about China or your trip.

Travel Tips – The rest of your arrival day is for self-arrangement. Please feel free to ask your tour guide for advice.

Day 2  Beijing Royal Relic Tour

The Forbidden City
Built in 1420 AD, the Forbidden City is the home and office premise of 24 emperors in Ming (1368-1644 AD) and Qing (1636-1912 AD) dynasties. The palaces, towers and antiques in the City allow tourists to have a general idea of royal lives.
Tian’anmen Square
The Tian’anmen is actually a gate, as well as a watch tower of the Forbidden City. On October 1st, 1949, the Chairman Mao Zedong announced the foundation of the People’s Republic of China on Tian’anmen. The Tian’anmen Square is the largest city square in the world.
Jingshan Park
Jingshan, aka Mount Jing, is a man-made mount. The then emperor built the mount to the north of the Forbidden City according to ancient fortune telling theories. Standing on the top of Jingshan, tourists can have a bird view of the Forbidden City.
Summer Palace
Initially built in 1750 AD and rebuilt in 1888, the Summer Palace is a summer resort for the royal families of Qing dynasty. The gardens, rockeries, lakes, pavilions and corridors in the Palace are the same as the ancient gardens in South Yangtze River area.

Day 3  Mutianyu Great Wall and Olympic Legacy

Mutianyu Great Wall
Stretching 5400 meters on a hill in the Huairou District of Beijing, the Mutianyu Great Wall is the longest Great Wall section in China. The bricks and watch towers on the Mutianyu Great Wall are preserved very well.
Ming Tombs
Located at the foot of the Tianlu Mountain, 13 emperors of Ming Dynasty are sleeping in the Ming Tombs. Thousands of funeral objects are collected in the museum of the Ming Tombs. The statues on the Sacred Way in the Ming Tombs are also highlights.
Bird’s Nest and Water Cube
Built for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the Bird’s Nest and its neighbor, Water Cube are actually National Stadium and National Swimming Center of China. They are called Bird’s Nest and Water Cube because they look like these two things in appearance. If you are an Olympic fan, these two Olympic legacies are must-go places.
